Description
The Support Services Supervisor supports the inpatient services Nursing Manager by ensuring that personnel and administrative operations run efficiently, including managing the work schedule for Detox. This position will fill vacant shifts by contacting employees according to the processes outlined in the union contract, will assist in onboarding and training staff, and will maintain alignment with company policy and regulatory compliance. The Support Services Supervisor will ensure that staff have current licenses, credentials, immunizations and receive required training as well as all associated documentation.
- Manage day-to-day scheduling and administration of schedules of the withdrawal management staff to ensure optimal function of team and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement in scheduling and filling vacant shifts.
- Develop effective communication channels and systems to promote crucial interaction between employees related to workforce and schedules.
- Ensure critical incidents are reported within 24 hours to the Nurse Manager, Sr. Director of Housing and Behavioral Health, Human Resources Manager, and Compliance. Ensure that post-incident debriefing with involved staff is conducted, and incidents are tracked and analyzed for trends.
- Schedule annual training plans to ensure all Withdrawal Management staff are trained and have the skills necessary to deliver excellent quality of services that focus on the recovery of every Detox guest, including timely completion of required DOH/DBHR license requirements.
- Assist with payroll and approving leave requests.
- Provide assistance with employee program onboarding and training and ensure all documents are completed and submitted to HR in a timely manner.
- Ensure all staff are current on their credentials, training, and immunization requirements, using a tracking system that includes documents making it into the personnel file in Human Resources.
- Monitor overtime to ensure no employee exceeds 60 hours worked within a week, and that MDC maintains compliance with all CBA requirements related to hours worked.
- Supervises Nutritionist and Admissions Coordinator.
- Aids Nutritionist in creating cost effective and nutritious meals in accordance to USDA guidelines for individuals
- Provides oversight to ensure that pretreatment scheduling is being complete daily.
- Aids Admission Coordinator to ensure that all duties are being completed consistently.
- Auditing admissions and screenings for all individuals and providers who call Withdrawal Management are being fully screened with nurse signed approval for admission.
- Ensuring that every screening and admission is being completed to funders standards.
- Order all office supplies.
- When necessary, fill in for positions to aid in smooth departmental operations.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am - 430pm
Compensation:
- starting rate: $27.67/hour

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- At least 4 years of Program Coordination, Administrative experience, or related equivalent experience.
- Must have excellent cooperation, coordination, and diplomatic skills.
- Strong, well-developed set of cultural competency skills.
- Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide excellent classroom instruction.
- Outstanding abilities to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone.
- Familiarity with common procedures of an inpatient healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office management tools and applications.
- Familiar with Avatar or other Electronic Medical Records systems
- Preferred: CPR card, Food Handler’s card, AVADE Instructor certificate
- Driver's License
