What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Concierge position at Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority?
Summary:
Provide concierge service to Premium Seating areas at MECA managed facilities with an approachable, professional, and helpful demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with assigned section(s) of the facility to assist guests in locating specific seat locations and suites
- Scan tickets for entry into premium seating areas and provide wrist bands, as needed
- Verify identification from guests who wish to purchase alcohol and provide a wrist band in an efficient manner
- Prepare and monitor Premium Seating areas prior to doors and after the event
- Work in Club Lounge and hospitality areas, as assigned
- Control movement of guests at events so as not to interfere with the viewing of the event by other guests
- Provide or seek assistance for guests needs
- Assist with crowd control during emergency situations
- Monitor guest behavior for compliance with event and facility policies Assist other Team Members, as needed
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be available 2 hours prior to event times
- Must display a positive attitude and professional image
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and provide excellent customer service
- Must be available to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may be split or extended, dependent on the event involved.
- Applicants MUST have the availability to work at least 4 shifts from June 13th - June 23rd for the 2025 College World Series.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos i

- Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other Team Members of the organization
