We are now hiring for a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist to join our Calumet Center Team!
$1,500 Signing Bonus for first time employees with MFS! ($500 on the first paycheck and $1,000 after completing six months of employment)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs comprehensive, in-depth assessments for a variety of program services. Performs intake as assigned.
- Provides a full range of case management, counseling, client advocacy, client education, and related services.
- Learns and utilizes agency and community resources.
- Recommends financial assistance for clients.
- Provides group services as indicated by program need.
- Completes comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Assesses community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems.
- Develops and implements Individual Treatment Plans.
- Conducts individual, family and group therapy sessions.
- Works as part of a team to further develop program initiatives and to increase our referral network.
- Provides internal and external referrals for additional services, as needed.
- Represents and interprets programs of agency in community.
- Meets agency expectation for quantity of direct service.
- Complies with agency record keeping expectations.
- May serve on regional or agency-wide committees.
- May perform a variety of administrative tasks including student supervision.
- Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology from an accredited college or university required.
- Must be Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW) eligible.
- Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions.
- Requires mobility to work with a community-based caseload.
- Ability to maintain assigned community and home-based services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.

SALARY:

The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $30.00 and $33.00 hourly. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.
