What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Services Officer 2 - Waste Services position at Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County?
The Administrative Services Officer 2 - Waste Services participates in a variety of financial services essential to direction and operation of the Waste Services Department. This position is responsible for accounts receivable, cart purchases/violations, permitting, payroll processing and other duties as required.
Metro Waste Services provides waste and recycling for the residents of Nashville-Davidson County and some surrounding areas. Our operation is centered around meeting our customers' needs and attaining safety and professionalism at the same time.
- Provides quality customer services to all internal and external customers.
- Generates and prepare daily reports, including electronic payment failure reports and reconciliations.
- Prepares and enter cash receipts.
- Accesses banking account management to gather necessary information for reconciliation of deposits; Record and manage deposit activity.
- Monitors and oversees the credit card program or other designated processes as needed.
- Processes payroll for the department.
- Reviews payroll for accuracy.
- Processes cart purchases, violations, and reconciliations.
- Maintains permitting revenue.
- Provides financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Assists with year-end reconciliation and reporting for annual financial audit.
- Scans documents as needed.

Two years of experience in governmental accounting
Two to Five years of experience in accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
