What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metro Action Commission Administrative Officer - Summer Food Program position at Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County?
***This Is A Seasonal Position/Not Eligible for Benefits***
This position will begin May 27th and end August 1st 2025
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
***Extensive Background Check test is performed on applicants for this position with MAC.***
- Maintain records with the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
- Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leaders for resolution.
- Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.
- Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.
- Maintain records on daily site reports, invoices, and statements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports of meals provided for distribution.
- Provide invoices for weekly deposit for iProcurement to identified administrator of SFSP, Community Services, or MAC Accounting.
- Assist with inventory of staples and non-staples.
- Assist with walk in orders.
- Assist with distribution route labeling and production.
- Maintain distribution, order tickets, and truck log sheets.
- Ensure truck keys are secured at the end of each day.
- Keep a daily log of each truck’s mileage and fuel gauge.
- Scan trucks for damage at end of day.
- Substitute for Summer Food Service Program Coordinator, when necessary.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions related to the Summer Food Service Program.
- Assist in closing down program.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.
- Apply data program techniques and procedures.
- Assume other task- related duties, as needed.

- Experienced in multi-tasking.
- Experienced with handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and data programs).
