What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager 1 - Juvenile Court position at Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County?
Manage all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal. Develop and implement efficient fleet management policies and procedures. Optimize vehicle routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Establish maintenance schedules and safety protocols. Manage driver licensing, certifications, and safety policies. Control fleet-related expenses and implement cost-saving strategies. Maintain accurate fleet data and prepare performance reports. Continuously improve fleet management strategies and stay current with industry trends. Develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of supervisory and/or administrative experience.
OR
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of supervisory and/or administrative experience.
LICENSES REQUIRED
Valid Driver License

Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
- Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of Metro Government fleet management principles, practices, and technologies
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, transportation logistics, environmental regulations and sustainable fleet management practices
- Familiarity with juvenile court operations and security protocols
