Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Site Manager, the Assistant Manager enhances the service experience for clients while working alongside coworkers to ensure the sites service standards are met or exceeded. Under the direction of the Manager, the Assistant Manager has additional duties involving coordination and administration, as well as providing guidance when the manager is not on-site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads one or more work groups in delivering high levels of guest service.

  • Promotes a teamwork philosophy through leading by example and effective communication skills.

  • Appoints fellow associates to certain routine roles, assigning coworkers to non-ordinary roles at the direction of the Manager.

  • Assists in administering an appropriate time and attendance system (work schedules, assigning employees, notifying employees of any changes, and monitoring attendance.

  • Assists in the training, re-training and development of employees.

  • Provides feedback, reinforcement, or coaching to employees continually or periodically.

  • Communicates effectively with team members/ supervisors, both verbally and written.

  • Keeps records that are current, accurate, and accessible.

  • Models appropriate dress, grooming, and performance.

  • Resolves conflicts between employees, escalating to higher levels and maintains confidentiality.

  • Remain composed under pressure and maintains control in all situations.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Systems and Standards:

  • Utilizes the systems provided by MHS to control assets and expenditures.

  • Ensures that staff is properly trained to use the systems provided.

  • Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by supervisor.

  • Maintains safe, clean and neat work environment by following standards and procedures.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA).

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Practices preventative safety procedures as set forth by MHS and the client.

  • Immediately reports accidents, vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Ability to set priorities and multitask while meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated work ethic, drive, energy, and persistence to achieve goals.

  • Computer proficiency (MS Office), applicable technology and point-of-sale applications.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies, procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and corporate communications.

  • Ability to compose business communications (reports, memos, letters, and e-mails).

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for customer service and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED and 3 to 5 years of related experience managing 50 employees.

  • Required to have a valid drivers license with no restrictions and present most recent driving record.

  • CDL license preferred.

  • Must be able to work legally in the United States.

  • Must pass background and drug screenings.

  • Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

  • Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements.

  • Knowledge of general business practices including accounting, human resources, and customer service.

  • Must be able to drive manual transmission (if applicable).
