Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/HR Generalist to join our team. This dual-role position will be responsible for overseeing daily office operations while managing human resources functions to support our property management company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration, property management, HR practices, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Office Management:

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization.
  • Manage office supplies, vendor relations, and facility maintenance.
  • Coordinate company meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with financial administrative tasks, such as invoicing, budgeting, and expense tracking.
  • Manage uniform distribution and inventory for onsite teams.
  • Ensure the communal office kitchen is stocked and maintained.

Human Resources:

  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
  • Facilitate performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and best practices.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, renewals, and communication with employees.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable benefits laws and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Track weekly leasing activity, compiling reports for company-wide notifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in office management and/or HR functions, preferably in property management or real estate.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking within the office environment.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching for items.
  • Prolonged periods of working at a desk and using a computer.
  • Routine travel to visit onsite teams as needed.
