Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/HR Generalist to join our team. This dual-role position will be responsible for overseeing daily office operations while managing human resources functions to support our property management company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration, property management, HR practices, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization.
- Manage office supplies, vendor relations, and facility maintenance.
- Coordinate company meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Assist with financial administrative tasks, such as invoicing, budgeting, and expense tracking.
- Manage uniform distribution and inventory for onsite teams.
- Ensure the communal office kitchen is stocked and maintained.
Human Resources:
- Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
- Facilitate performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, renewals, and communication with employees.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable benefits laws and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Track weekly leasing activity, compiling reports for company-wide notifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in office management and/or HR functions, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking within the office environment.
- Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching for items.
- Prolonged periods of working at a desk and using a computer.
- Routine travel to visit onsite teams as needed.
