THE ROLE

The Digital Coordinator is responsible for the management, oversight, and continuous improvement of our digital platforms, including the Metropolitan Market website, email marketing program, Google Business profile, and other third-party sites where our brand is represented. This position serves as the primary driver for digital marketing and E-Commerce initiatives, ensuring the Metropolitan Market brand is accurately represented across all digital platforms. A strategic thinker with strong collaboration and communication skills, the Digital Coordinator maintains a guest-centric mindset to drive digital initiatives that align with organizational goals.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Manages and maintains the Metropolitan Market website, ensuring all content is accurate, relevant, and visually engaging while upholding Metropolitan Market brand standards. Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the guest experience and implements creative solutions. Monitors website performance metrics, measures results, and ensures continuous improvement to align with business goals.
  • Optimizes Metropolitan Market website content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve visibility and search rankings, while ensuring ADA compliance.
  • Develops and manages the email marketing program, overseeing campaign development, audience segmentation, scheduling, and performance analysis. Tracks key metrics including acquisition, open rates, click-through rates, and trends. Uses data-driven insights to refine strategies, adjust content, and improve overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitors and updates Google Business profiles, and similar informational business accounts for each Metropolitan Market location. Partners with the Social Media Coordinator and Content Creator to ensure guest comments are responded to promptly following Metropolitan Market standards. Keeps Marketing Manager and Marketing Director proactively informed of any comments requiring additional stakeholder input.
  • Works closely with the Marketing team to develop and deliver brand assets for E-Commerce and other third-party platforms, ensuring consistency with Metropolitan Market's brand standards and business information.
  • Generates and analyzes performance metric reports for website traffic, email campaigns, and third-party platforms. Provides actionable insights and partners with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to increase performance metrics.
  • Identifies and resolves website and platform issues promptly, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to minimize user disruptions. Proactively communicates significant disruptions to the Marketing Director.
  • Collaborates with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across digital marketing campaigns, promotions, strategy, and branding. Facilitates communication between stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to digital initiatives.
  • Develops and documents processes for digital operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Implements A/B testing strategies to optimize email and website performance.
  • Stays ahead of industry trends and identifies innovative digital solutions to enhance efficiencies, effectiveness, and the overall guest experience.
  • Other initiatives, as assigned by the Marketing Director.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Successful experience working in digital marketing, or a related field required.
  • Proficiency in website management platforms (e.g., WordPress, Kentico) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Experience with Google Business, Google Analytics, and SEO best practices. Google Certifications preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and create actionable strategies that drive results.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills required, with a keen attention to punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques.
  • Passion for digital marketing with a continuous drive to stay at the forefront of industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
  • Deep enthusiasm and passion for food, beverage, and cooking.
  • Ability to travel to our store locations, as needed.
  • Demonstrates openness to constructive feedback and the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote).

The specific programs and options available to any given team member are dependent upon eligibility factors such as position, date of hire, work location, and terms of applicable collective bargaining agreements.


OTHER THINGS TO KNOW

Employment may be dependent upon successful background check and reference checks. All store employees must have a valid Washington State Food Workers Card to begin work.
