MetroPractice has an immediate opening for several Part Time AR Follow-up Specialists with a minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience - either with a medical billing company or a physician office. Prior experience with eClinicalWorks or Tebra (Kareo) preferred.

Competitive Salary: Starting at $18.50 per hour.
Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible hours of up to 25-30 each week. Our office is open daily from 8am to 7pm, so we can work with your schedule for start and stop times.

Medical Billing Follow-up Specialist
MetroPractice has an immediate opening for several Part Time AR Follow-up Specialists with a minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience - either with a medical billing company or a physician office. Prior experience with eClinicalWorks or Tebra (Kareo) preferred.
Requirements
- Must have experience working with denied and rejected claims with one or more of the following specialties: primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, mental health, radiology, or physical therapy.
- Must have experience using various insurance web portals for claim status and enrollment. You should know which portals are used for major payers: Aetna, Carefirst, United Healthcare, Cigna, various Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid MCO plans.
- Must be able to work in a paperless environment and understand how to produce electronic documents for the purpose of claim submission, denial appeals and payment posting.
- Work on assigned clients for follow up for rejected, denied and unpaid claims using online payer portals. Resubmit, corrective claims actions and preparation of appeals as need to resolve claims.
- Communicate efficiently with team members to resolve claims issues.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Quickly and efficiently identify why claims are unpaid and resolve to payment.
- Able to understand, review and troubleshoot ERAs to resolve claims denials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional and courteous manner.
- Technology proficient with previous PM and EMR experience and knowledgeable of Microsoft software products such as Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
