Job Description
Under general direction, support and maintain the District's information technology (IT) software and hardware assets
Essential Functions :
Develop and maintain an inventory of all IT assets utilizing an asset management system to ensure that the information is accurate and auditable; track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts; perform physical inventory of assets on a periodic basis and regularly monitor usage of IT assets; record findings and reconcile discrepancies; procure IT assets on behalf of the District based on approved requisitions.
Additional Responsibilities :
Perform related duties as required or delegated by supervisor.
Qualifications
Training and Experience :
Associate Degree in Information technology, Business Administration, or related field, or 60 college credit hours towards related degree, and two years of related experience with personal computers or a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Must have strong technical competence and keen attention to details and ability to follow through on issues and action items; ability to communicate effectively with vendors as well as establish good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; proficient at conducting research on IT products and services; able to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies to address business needs or problems.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT :
Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.
Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as non-safety sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.
