The District :
The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy (District) was established in 1935 by the Salt Lake City Commission. The District's primary function is to provide high quality drinking water for our member cities, Salt Lake City and Sandy City, by creating a firm water supply.
The Position :
The District is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to help in supporting our mission of providing high quality drinking water. As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of parts, equipment, facilities and infrastructure within our two water treatment plants, various support building and aqueducts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring the plant operates efficiently and safely. Starting pay is $21.90 - $26.00 / hour depending on experience.

Requirements :
Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent. Previous maintenance experience preferred. Maintenance experience in the following : mechanical equipment, repairs, and related skills.
Certification and Licensing : Valid Utah Driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications : Welding, plumbing, concrete, carpentry or instrumentation and electrical preferred. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
Salary : $22 - $26
