The position involves working with children through geriatric patients, under the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist. Key responsibilities include performing patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan, documenting treatments given, and completing established competencies within the designated introductory period.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant, active U.S. military service, or veterans' training credited by an accredited OTA program. Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by AOTA is also required. Licensure as required by State law is necessary.
