Role Summary
This senior role will entail quantitative pharmacology leadership in the development of next generation of medicines and solutions for obesity and metabolic diseases. The position will be responsible for setting the pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology strategies for Metsera's pipeline and accountable for efficient execution of these strategies. This position will act as the pharmacology lead on program development teams and may ultimately support programs from translational- through to late-stage clinical development in close collaboration with other members of these cross-disciplinary teams. As a quantitative pharmacology leader, this position is expected to inform both the clinical pharmacology and model-informed drug development strategy, and to execute on this strategy through a combination of internal and external resources.
The Impact you will have at Metsera
Reporting to the SVP, Pharmacology, you'll be responsible for :
- acting as pharmacology lead on cross-disciplinary development teams, ultimately supporting programs from IND-enabling through to late-stage clinical development, and modeling leadership competencies to junior members of the staff
- setting the quantitative pharmacology and model-informed drug development (MIDD) strategy and defining major deliverables based upon deep understanding of overall strategic objectives of the development team and current regulations, guidelines, and quality standards
- executing the quantitative pharmacology strategy both in collaboration with internal team leads (e.g. clinical, biostats, toxicology, regulatory, nonclinical and CMC) and with external vendors
- leading quantitative pharmacology activities through IND and quantitative clinical pharmacology activities for clinical candidates through regulatory submission and beyond
- engaging in strategic communication with senior leadership and external stakeholder networks to influence outcomes

Pay Transparency Disclosure : The expected salary range for this position is $200,000 - $307,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
