How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:
Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Mechanics Helper. This position is located at the Kings Bay, GA. in support of the Transit Protection Program (TPP). Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Summary: Assists in the skilled maintenance trades by performing general duties
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Senior Maintenance Engineers, Mechanics, and Electronics Technician in the execution of their duties.
- Assists in a variety of duties concerned with the operation, maintenance, repair and cleaning of equipment and facilities in the deck and engineering department areas.
- Compliance with property control requirements and monitoring of the property control program performance.
- All other tasks as assigned to accomplish TPP contract performance.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations.
Any other duties as required for the Contract performance.

Qualifications:
- General working knowledge of small craft and vessels.
- Ability to obtain and hold a Security Clearance. Ability to obtain a Kings Bay Access badge.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials (Form CG-719 K))
Work Environment:
- Pier Side and associated facilities.
