Production Planner

The Production Planner will oversee and organize the manufacturing schedule and plan within a company. Ensures timely production of goods by developing and managing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with various departments to allocate resources efficiently. Identifying potential issues to maintain production goals within budget and quality standards.

General Tasks

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, customer priorities, and available resources.
• Control, monitor and report resource and inventory levels effectively to support customer delivery requirements.
• Support and recommend improvement items that ensure Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets are achieved.
• Align Production with all support departments to ensure smooth and continuous production flow.
• Anticipate and preemptively solve production delays and bottlenecks.
• Support start-up operations regarding new machines, new products and new processes.
• Analyze performance of team members and machines, in turn giving direction and feedback to aid in optimal performance.
• Utilization of lean manufacturing techniques to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Support the implementation of Engineering changes and Production trials.
• Collect, record, analyze data and make suggestions for improvement based off findings.
• Advise Management of upcoming risk/opportunities to production schedule and plan.
• Other tasks as advised by Production/Operations Manager
