This position provides an opportunity to work with a top law firm located in Eden Prairie, practicing exclusively in the areas of workers' compensation, PERA/MSRS disability and personal injury law. Our paralegals work and learn directly from their lead attorney as well as other experienced paralegals in the firm; they have direct client contact. The candidate must be able to handle a variety of tasks at one time while maintaining a high-level of attention to detail. The candidate must also have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills.
Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal program or four-year degree is preferred, but not required. Paralegal experience and/or customer service experience is highly desirable.

What you will do:
- Work directly with attorneys to identify and coordinate the completion of projects.
- Interact with clients, opposing law firms, court staff, witnesses, and third parties.
- Manage and organize files.
- Draft documents, including pleadings such as discovery requests, discovery responses, affidavits, motions and letters
- Review documents for completeness.
- Obtain information from various parties, analyze and incorporate into documents
- Draft documents, including pleadings such as discovery requests, discovery responses, affidavits, motions and letters
- Manage discovery documentation collection and production
- Respond to client questions/inquiries as the case progresses
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation
- Electronically file documents
- Other projects as assigned
What you need to do the job:
- Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal program or four year degree is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, electronic filing systems, and video conferencing with document sharing
- Organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with others
- Ability to have independent judgment, confidence, and self-direction
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
