What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Finance position at MEXBRIT, INC?
Summary and Purpose:
- Key support to CEO and Chief Underwriter.
- Overall responsibility to build and manage all aspects of financial, regulatory and statutory reporting for the group as well as day to day operational accounting for all Group entities including tax accounting.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the CEO, Board and overall parent company (AUB Group Limited ASX:AUB).
- Responsible for all aspects of Corporate reporting and business performance reporting
- Works with CEO and Chief Underwriter to create financial plans, including the compilation of budgets, forecasts and other financial plans.
- Oversight and management of all finance activities including payroll activities, accounts payable and receivables.
Main Duties:
- Manage and deliver month end close process across the Group
- Responsibility for preparation and delivery of monthly reporting packs to local management and AUB Group, within parent group reporting timelines;
- Responsibility for management and delivery of annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process for the Group
- Provide assurance of balance sheet / financial position of all legal entities across the Group.
- Manage and analyse FX exposure, working with AUB Group to undertake necessary hedging strategy.
- Manage day to day activities of local finance team, including performance management and development
- Ensure CEO and Chief Underwriter receive appropriate partnering, reporting and insight
- Deliver required statutory reporting and tax reporting for the Group.
- Transform and deliver General ledger system upgrade.
Regulatory Requirements:
- The role holder is required to be familiar and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- The role holder is required to ensure compliance with all accounting and taxation rules.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Experience of building and setting up a finance function
- Familiar with the set up and configuration of General ledgers, CoA and Reporting tools.
- Experience of implementing a new financial system (desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills, as well as other Microsoft applications

Education / Training / Qualification
Required:
- Qualified CPA with 5 years Post Qualification Experience
- Strong control background.
- Line management experience, with proven record of developing individuals
- Insurance background desirable
- Knowledge of US tax environment
- Written and spoken Spanish and English
Supervisory / Line Manager Responsibilities:
- Line management (direct and indirect) of two local finance heads and external accountants in LATAM.
