The Boat Technician is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below:
Responsibilities
- Service all makes and models of outboards and inboards
- Winterize/De-winterize
- Service work to boats
- Perform diagnostics and repair all types of marine engines (Engine, outboard, drive repair, boat rigging, electrical systems, etc.) on boats
- Service work to boat trailers
- Perform repairs to trailers (wiring, tires/wheels, hubs/bearings/brakes
- Handle multiple work orders and document that the work has been performed correctly and completely
- Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical accessories in boats
- Safely operate company and customer boats during diagnostics and water testing
- Perform repairs according to manufacturer’s guidelines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to multitask and maintain a professional and welcoming attitude.
- Ability to work 8 hours per day and allow for overtime when needed.
- May occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Be detail-oriented with strong attention to quality work and processes
- Be a team player
- Be able to work independently when needed as well as part of a team.
- Be able to work indoors and outdoors, as needed
- Boat handling and knowledge of local waters
- 3 Years Experience Required!
- Compensation dependent on experience.
