Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused RV Dealership Service Manager to lead and oversee our service department. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service quality, coordinating repairs, and providing leadership to a team of technicians and service staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the RV industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Department Leadership: Manage and lead the service department, including overseeing service technicians, advisors, and support staff. Ensure team productivity and a high level of morale by providing support, training, and performance feedback.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all customer service issues are addressed promptly and professionally. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality services and timely communication.
- Repair & Maintenance Coordination: Oversee the scheduling and prioritization of service appointments and repairs. Ensure that all repair work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to manufacturer standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of service provided by the department, ensuring that all work performed on customer RVs meets industry standards and company policies. Conduct final inspections to verify that repairs and maintenance have been completed properly.
- Parts & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management for the service department, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and tools. Work closely with the parts department to maintain stock levels and ensure timely ordering of materials.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training to service technicians and staff to improve skills, enhance product knowledge, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and new RV models.
- Service Department Budgeting: Develop and manage the service department budget. Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability while identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the service department operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for all staff.
- Customer Communication: Provide clear and timely updates to customers regarding the status of their RVs, including service timelines, costs, and any potential issues. Offer expert advice on preventative maintenance to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service work, customer interactions, parts used, and service history. Prepare regular reports on department performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics for upper management.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in automotive or RV service management, business, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in RV service or automotive repair, with a minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with RV systems, components, and troubleshooting is highly preferred.
- Skills:
