Job Description
Operators shall perform all functions associated with treating hardware that is required to be processed in a furnace as well as brazing components together to assemble fabricated metal parts. Tasks shall include but not limited to, pulling job travelers, washing, blasting and brazing parts, loading and unloading furnaces.
Primary Responsibilities
Prior furnace, braze or welding experience as well as knowledge of aerospace quality standards
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands, and arms, and communicate. Will be required to move throughout the facility. Work in manufacturing environment and use of computer (typical 2-button scroll mouse and keyboard - 25% of the work day). The employee must occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be able to work in a supportive team environment that is fast paced with a strong commitment to accountability.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform in a safe and productive manner in compliance with company policies and procedures, adhering to all safety standards
- Adhere to Coating/Braze procedures as well as all quality standards
- Measure, weigh, mix and combine materials based on specific operator instructions or engineering specifications
- Apply braze alloy paste/tape/foil to braze joints on production parts per standard operating procedures or blueprints
- Inspect Coated parts, Pre-Braze & Post-Braze components to ensure quality requirements are meet
- Understand and utilize controls and instruments to operate furnaces, heat treat equipment, auxiliary equipment, grit blasters, and resistance welders as required
- Extensive use of various software packages including, MCPS, ORION, ATLAS, Microsoft Outlook and more
- Maintain work stations in a clean and orderly manner
- Use and/or interpret information from work instructions, travelers, and other written or verbal instructions
- Recognize and diagnose problems when issues arise and take necessary actions to report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
- Communicate and work with other departments to provide continuous feedback for quality of hardware
- Function effectively within a team environment over multiple shifts
- Must maintain accurate record of daily production activities including preventive maintenance, work station audits, and furnace logs
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor or management
- Ability to work in a team environment that promotes high moral, teamwork, pride, productivity and excellent quality
- Must have High School Diploma, GED or equivalent- documentation required
- Must meet ITAR definition of US person(s)- documentation required
- Keyboarding skill sufficient to enter data into Microsoft Office and inspection software
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprint drawings and familiar with basic GD&T
- Strong math background
- Must follow instructions and communication information clearly to others verbally and in writing in English
- Must be responsive with department personnel/associates to promote a cooperative environment
- Vision acuity 20/25 or better required (corrected) performed at Meyer Tool.
- Mechanical aptitude required to operate a variety of hand tools including micrometers, calipers, grinders, sanders, etc.
- Perform any other task management deems necessary or needed by the company
- Must maintain excellent attendance record in accordance with Company policy
- MTI is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment testing will be required
