Position Overview
MFE Inspection Solutions is looking for a dedicated, driven individual ready to grow into a leadership role within our Houston branch. This is more than a job — it's an opportunity to learn side-by-side with industry leaders and develop into a key driver of success at one of the most trusted names in inspection solutions. The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive, 6-month on the job training program with the current Branch Unit Manager to ensure a strong, confident transition into this role.
The Branch Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day branch operations. Key Responsibilities include ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, project management, team engagement, and outstanding customer satisfaction. Seasoned leadership experience will be critical to developing business strategies, achieving revenue growth, and fostering a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate for the Branch Unit Manager role will bring a minimum of 5 years of proven experience within operations and sales leadership to this opportunity. Priority will be given to Industrial Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), environmental tools, drones, or robotics experience across various industries.
Responsibilities, not limited to:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily branch functions, including equipment rental, sales, repair, training, and calibration services.
- Manage inventory and ensure optimal equipment availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Demonstrate strong ethics and integrity aligned with MFE’s core values and culture.
Business Development:
- Drive growth by developing and executing strategic business plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients while identifying new market opportunities.
- Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed regional sales goals.
Customer Service Excellence
- Ensure clients receive top-tier service by resolving inquiries and issues efficiently.
- Leverage customer feedback to continuously enhance service quality.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technicians, sales reps, and support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement individual development plans.
- Promote a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Financial & Strategic Management
- Create and manage the branch budget, ensuring profitability and financial health.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement actions to improve efficiency and margin.
- Oversee billing, invoicing, and collections to maintain cash flow accuracy.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain exceptional quality standards in service delivery and equipment maintenance.
- Implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing operations and driving sales in a technical or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with NDT, RVI, drones, robotics, or related inspection tools is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
- Solid knowledge of financial planning, P&L oversight, and project management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable analyzing data and making informed, strategic decisions.
- Proficiency with business management software and tools.
