About Us: Mfinite Consulting is a leading professional services firm providing expert IT and management consulting solutions. We are seeking a Temporary IT Programmer to support a project with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Position Overview: The selected candidate will collaborate with the MSDE technical team to enhance the MARS system, an application utilizing .NET, JSON, Web API, MySQL, and Azure DevOps. The role requires hands-on experience with ASP.NET, MySQL databases, and data transformation.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and maintain application code to improve scalability and performance.
Conduct system analysis, debugging, and documentation to support the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, testers, database managers, and help desk staff.
Ensure seamless integration with the Orchard system while maintaining security best practices.
Utilize tools such as Jira, Visual Studio, and GIT for development and issue tracking.
Provide weekly status updates and attend regular stakeholder meetings.
Required Qualifications: Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, MySQL, and Web API.
Experience with SQL Server Database and MVC architecture.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for deployment and management.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Must be geographically located in the USA and available during standard business hours (7 AM 6 PM EST).
Experience With Web Accessibility Standards Is Preferred.
Additional Details: Interviews: 2 rounds (virtual and/or in-person).
Certification Requirements: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
