MFS has an opening for a Construction Project Manager based in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a Construction Project Manager, who has responsibilities to manage relationships with key stakeholders, create benchmarks for success with deliverables, including managing budgets, and planned work assignments on and off site that meet all deadlines. The position entails working with participants at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day to day operations of projects & their scope.
- Identify resources needed for projects.
- Review all deliverables prepared by team before client submission.
- Develop cost-effective plans & schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization.
- Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
- Responsible for execution of trade work.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to create risk.
- Ensure the project meets its schedule and project profitability goals.
- Manage the budget and make monthly financial forecasts.
- Client advocate that reports on client progress.
- This is a hands-on position; the construction project manager will work with on-site personnel and subcontractors.
- Oversee all aspects of a construction project from planning to implementation, including Coordinate pricing, scheduling, and planning, site investigation, and subcontractors as required
- Receive, review, and expedite submittals and RFIs from subcontractors and vendors
- Prepare, monitor, and update Master Schedule
- Review and understand construction drawings and help spot any potential coordination problems or missing information
- Ensure all code requirements and safety policies are satisfied
- Review all subcontractor and vendor shop drawings, product data, samples, manuals, etc., for compliance with contract documents and coordination with all other items of work.
- Interface with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, on-site personnel, subcontractors, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s in construction management, architectural engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent.
- Over 3-5 years of direct construction PM experience, that would include tenant improvement projects in commercial healthcare
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare industry – Preferred
- Experience with the following software will be Ideal: MS Suites, CRM, Procore, Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet
- Proven track record for on schedule and budget completion of jobs.
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
