Work location : Onsite; Lacey, WA
Compensation : $55 to $61 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
Administer standardized psychological tests and assessments to evaluate students' intellectual, emotional, and behavioral development.
Assess for learning disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disturbances, and other conditions that may affect academic performance.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to develop IEPs for students with special needs.
Help tailor educational programs and interventions to meet the specific needs of students.
Offer one-on-one or group counseling sessions to help students cope with emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
Address issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, self-esteem, social skills, and trauma.
Provide crisis intervention in situations such as family crises, self-harm, or incidents of violence.
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design and implement behavior management strategies in the classroom.
Job Requirements
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Experience
1 - 5 years of directly related experience Required
Relevant experience in working with children, adolescents, or within an educational setting, often gained through internships or work as a school counselor, behavioral therapist, or in a related field.
Previous experience in conducting assessments, managing case files, and creating student-specific intervention plans.
Licenses and Certifications
State Certification or License : ESA certification
National Certification through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
