Job Title: Energy Specialist/Program Representative
Job Overview:
The Energy Specialist/ Program Representative will complete assessments through an in-home audit by verifying the eligibility of all Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric customers. All Energy Specialists/ Program Representatives are expected to follow the structural guidelines established by the Energy Saving Assistance Program (ESAP). The Energy Specialist/ Program Representative is expected to canvass, telemarket and find potential customers that meet the program guidelines. The Energy Specialist/ Program Representative must attend in-person or virtual appointments self-generated or scheduled by the MGM Energy Call Center. Our Energy Specialist/ Program Representative should have the ability to provide outstanding customer service and good communication skills.
Reports to:
- The Energy Specialist/ Program Representative reports to the program Outreach Manager
The Position:
This is a commission-based position ranging on average between $50,000-$70,000 per year Plus Bonus.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Successful complete certification training or any other required training
- Perform outreach for the company’s home improvement and weatherization programs
- Ensure enrollments are summited by the expected time
- Report to schedule appointments on time and prepared
- Canvass door-to-door or telemarked to find potential customers
- Identify and document customer eligibility according to program guidelines
- Conduct structural in-home assessments at customer’s homes, apartments, and mobile homes
- Provide energy education and energy conservation tips to customers as required by program guidelines
- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork
- Stay updated on program requirements and standards
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Program Administrator
- Responsible for the excellent image of the company while on company time
- Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Program Administrator
Requirements:
- Must have an active California Driver’s License
- Must have an active Home Improvement Sales License
- Reliable transportation
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Two years minimum experience with the Energy Savings Assistance Program
