THE JOB:
The Executive Meeting Sales Manager is responsible for negotiating and contracting room rates and meeting space for small group events, ranging from 10 to 100 rooms on peak nights. This role involves managing and maintaining accounts, securing future business opportunities within the assigned markets, and attending networking events to promote group business and drive sales. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Evaluate and manage inquiries by conducting pre-qualifications, negotiating rates, preparing proposals and contracts, processing bookings, and following up with both established and potential clients, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures
- Drive the growth of new and existing accounts to surpass revenue targets by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining clients, and leading site inspections, all while utilizing persuasive verbal and written communication skills
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to maximize revenue by promoting all aspects of the hotel’s offerings
- Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events, maintaining alignment with corporate standards
- Contribute to the development and execution of a strategic plan for the assigned geographic territory, aligned with departmental goals
- Foster a work environment that promotes teamwork, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
- Perform all duties in compliance with departmental, hotel, and legal policies, practices, and procedures
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- One (1) year of experience in Hospitality, Event Planning, Food and Beverage, and/or Hotel Operations
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Opera, Amadaus, Delphi, and Social Tables
- Knowledgeable of Front Desk and/or Convention Reservations procedures
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
- Ability to achieve established monthly individual, room night and revenue goals within established deadlines
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all stakeholders
