THE JOB:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our facilities department. Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, this role is responsible for overseeing building maintenance, managing all related trades, and supervising engineering staff. The ideal candidate will ensure that all maintenance tasks are effectively scheduled, assigned, and completed, keeping our facilities running smoothly and efficiently.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Help carry out the department’s strategy in line with the overall company goals, budget, and long-term plans.
Supervise engineering staff and maintenance teams, including setting priorities, providing feedback, scheduling, hiring, training, and promoting a positive work environment.
Oversee guest service delivery to ensure it meets company standards and supports the brand.
Make sure the building complies with all health, safety, and building regulations, and keep accurate records of all department activities.
Track utility use and costs, keeping up-to-date logs as required.
Manage and improve preventative maintenance programs, making sure all equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and repaired or replaced when needed.
Monitor inventory levels and manage purchases for tools, parts, and equipment to meet property standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2 years of prior relevant experience as a facilities manager or related technical education.
Comprehensive understanding of central plant operations, preferred.
