THE JOB:
As a Network Support Technician 1 at the T-Mobile Arena, you will play a crucial role in the installation, de-installation, and maintenance of network cabling, cross-connects, and associated infrastructure. You will ensure that all network devices and infrastructure meet organizational standards and operational excellence while efficiently resolving both Wi-Fi and wired network issues across the arena including the maintenance of the surveillance systems, door locks, televisions and repairing other hardware devices throughout the arena. This is a part-time opportunity.

THE STARTING RATE:

• $25.00 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Customer Interaction: Provide in-person support to customers and employees experiencing network connectivity issues with their devices (phones, tablets, PCs). Collaborate closely with second-level support to resolve both Wi-Fi and wired network challenges efficiently.
• Network Infrastructure: Take charge of installing, terminating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a diverse range of network cabling, including fiber optic, UTP, STP, and more. Execute moves, adds, and changes for any network or related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to network devices and the cable plant. Utilize advanced testing equipment such as Corning Fusion Splicers, Fluke OTDRs, and Fluke Link Runners to ensure robust network health.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Share your expertise with team members on the use of specialized test equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of cable plant infrastructure, contributing to our knowledge base and improving system efficiency.
• Hardware Configuration: Configure network hardware for edge and core network equipment, as well as Serial-to-IP devices, to enhance network capabilities and reliability.
• Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation of network hardware and cable assemblies, utilizing both copper and fiber, to maintain and expand our network infrastructure.
• Contractor Management: Manage contractor access to sensitive areas, ensuring all work adheres to MGM Resorts' high standards of security and quality.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience in networking infrastructure.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Comfortable in the use of hand tools.
• Able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
