Payroll Clerk Job Description
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This includes entering employee data, calculating wages and deductions, and generating paychecks. The Payroll Clerk also works with the Human Resources department to ensure that all payroll taxes are filed and paid on time.
The role will be part time, working 2 days, totaling 16 hours/week on a Mon/Fri or Thurs/Fri schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Enter employee data into the payroll system
- Calculate wages and deductions
- Generate paychecks
- File and pay payroll taxes
- Work with the Human Resources department on payroll-related issues
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in payroll software
- Experience with construction payroll
- Knowledge of Sage 300
- Strong math skills
