MGR is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our client's accounting team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify hours submitted for each employee
- Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes for all employees
- Maintain payroll records
- Provide payroll tax reports and payment calculations
- Respond to employee questions and inquiries about payroll
- Support accounting functions by preparing necessary documentation for reporting.
- Assist with HR tasks such as onboarding & insurance
- Consistently communicate with department managers/supervisors
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a construction or construction-adjacent industry.
- Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, government compliance requirements, and payroll reporting processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and other relevant software.
