As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Used Truck Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The role of the Used Truck Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic performs heavy-duty mechanical repair and light maintenance under general supervision on used trucks as assigned.
- Performs and / or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
- Gains experience by performing the following repairs under minimal supervision : motor overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, motor tune-up, and general maintenance.
- Works on major components with close supervision
- Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
- Attends training sessions and meetings.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and properly handle company tools.
- Advises the Used Truck Manager if additional repair work is necessary.
- Test drives trucks to ensure road readiness and repairs were completed correctly.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.SAFETY-SENSITIVEThis position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. - CDL must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Graduate of vocational school or minimum of 2 years hands on experience.
