About the Company - MHI seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. This position will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and eager to foster a positive employee experience.
About the Role - Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Post job openings, coordinate interviews, facilitate new hire orientation, and ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate employee records, support audits, and handle confidential information securely.
- Payroll Administration: Administers employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain and update payroll systems and records in coordination with HRIS.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits programs, respond to inquiries, and coordinate open enrollment.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with employment laws, prepare compliance reports, and update HR policies.
- Employee Relations: Support engagement initiatives and participate in resolving employee concerns.
- Charitable Donations Committee: Manage and coordinate the employees' Charitable Donations Committee. Organize meetings, track donation initiatives, and ensure alignment with company values. Serve as a liaison between the committee and company leadership to promote charitable efforts.
- HR Projects: Contribute to performance management processes, training, and development programs.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of HR and payroll experience. (ADP WorkforceNow a plus)
- PHR Certification Prefered - Generalist
- Familiarity with HR principles, payroll systems, legal regulations, and HRIS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and multitask effectively.
- Ability to Travel
