Project Architect (K-12)

MHTN Architects is looking for a licensed Project Architect with a passion for educational projects in the Kindergarten, Elementary, and Secondary school (K-12) spaces. As a Project Architect you will guide educational projects and fellow team members through all phases of the design process by working collaboratively to ensure exceptional quality and service to your clients during schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and into construction administration. You will participate in charrettes with stakeholders, lead parti’s and pin-ups with team members, and help to tell design stories that will continuously inform new project design innovations and positively impact the long-term well-being of students and educators.

In this position, you will:

• Solve design problems and present innovative solutions to your clients by collaborating with other architectural experts, landscape architects, interior designers, and planners.
• Play a crucial role in promoting socially and environmentally responsible design practices through respectful and informed discussions with your clients.
• Make informed decisions in evaluation, selection, and use of standard architectural techniques and problem solving while working within budget and schedule to meet project scope and deadlines
• Set an example for excellent communication by clearly presenting well-organized information to team members and to clients as you reach design consensus
• Organize project and document production in collaboration with Project Managers
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders regionally and within Utah’s passionate community of educators.
  
  

Your proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and communication systems, like Microsoft Teams, will allow you to seamlessly execute your responsibilities. As a licensed architect, you have a mastery of building and accessibility codes and regulatory standards and a firm understanding of engineering systems, equipment, technology requirements and detailing, and how they relate to construction.
