Job Summary:
As the Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a perpetual inventory of material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items.
Responsibilities:
- Record purchases
- Maintain database
- Perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to office records
- Compute figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.
- Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
- Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
- Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
- Receive, unpack, and deliver goods.
- Re-stock items as necessary, label shelves, liaise with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepare deliveries.
- May perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, and assisting customers.
- Perform other various duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or related business discipline and a minimum of three years of experience in Navy logistics, inventory management, financial management and the functionality of military logistics.
- As a substitute for education, four years of experience in Navy logistics, inventory management, financial management and the functionality of Navy logistics.
- Familiarity with Navy supply and maintenance relationships, organization, and management databases is highly desired; possess strong verbal skills to convey analysis results and recommendations.
- Work independently with general supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
