Plant Trainer position is available in Temperance, MI at MI Windows and Doors!
Full Time / Day Shift Position (Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm)
Flexibility to work nights as needed.
Hourly rate is starting at $27.50 an hour!
This position will provide a professional training experience that will ensure a smooth and effective New Hire Training Program. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of job-specific training to existing team members. This position will work with leadership in preparing, facilitating, monitoring, evaluating and documenting training activities in the company. This position serves to develop new hires and existing employees through training and is a contributing factor in retention through the on-boarding process.

Trainer Associate responsibilities include:
- Works closely with facility leadership to develop and implement a new hire training program.
- Assess training needs for new hire team members.
- Actively participate in the coordination of the new hire orientation training sessions and facilitate the orientation training sessions.
- Lead the training of new hire team members on safety, quality, product, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure newly hired team members are trained and made aware of all safety PPE requirements, evacuation procedures, and possible hazards pertaining to their specific location/position.
- Conduct professional level plant tours for all newly hired team members.
- Facilitate communications between newly hired team members, Team/Area Leads, Supervisors, & Human Resources.
- Help to resolve issues regarding the training process of the newly hired team members.
- Coordinate with leadership on monitoring and reporting team member’s progress as well as the goal setting process for newly hired team members.
- Educate and assist leadership in the completion of all new hire retention procedures.
- Track and report on training outcomes.
- Provide feedback to program participants and leadership.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement team to update and maintain document control for standard work documents.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement events as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Five years of manufacturing experience
- Planning and organizing
- Data gathering and analysis
- Ability to work independently as directed
- Proven work experience in managing multiple tasks
- Strong communication and written skills
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Must have very good interpersonal skills (coaching, adaptable, positive, team player)
