The MIAA and MSAA is seeking an individual to fill the Technology Director position for the State Associations. The Technology Director is responsible for the development and maintenance of internal software applications and solutions that enhance the performance of MIAA and MSAA Staff and member schools. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with staff, member schools, and vendorsInterest and understanding of school leadership and education-based athletics (MSAA and MIAA)Oversee all technology operations (e.g. cyber security) and evaluate them according to established goalsDevise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by staffUnderstand project management, database management and systems applicationExcellent trouble shooting analysis, problem solving, and customer service skills.Experience and knowledge of web site development, Mac, Windows, software and hardware.
(MS Office, Google Apps, Adobe Creative Suite)Analyze and maintain inventory of technology and then advise on purchasing and updating an efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software upgrade plan Ability to prioritize and maintain deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to provide training to staffPreferred Additional QualificationsUnderstanding of the MSAA and MIAA as member-based associations, their mission, and role in school leadership and education-based athleticsGraphic Design, Social Media, and Mobil Apps experience preferredProven experience in IT or similar roleExperience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specificationsSound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.Experience in controlling information technology budgetExcellent organizational and leadership skillsBSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus. (or equivalent experience)Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time salaried position. Salary is commensurate with experience and comparable positions in similar organizations.
