JOB SUMMARY:
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the Substitute Teacher will help students learn subject matter and skills required for scheduled lessons and provide meaningful instruction for assigned classrooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS:
- Report to the division office at 7:45 AM for materials and schedule.
- Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
- Create a conducive learning environment.
- Guide students toward curriculum goals.
- Maintain classroom order and take attendance.
- Ensure students are never left unattended.
- Perform duties such as lunch and recess duty.
- Know emergency procedures and school policies.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
- Clear communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
- Maintain discipline and monitor student safety.
- Adapt to diverse needs and fast-paced environments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
