Custodian

Overview: Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our schools and facilities. Responsibilities: * Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the school * Empty trash and recyclables, and restock supplies * Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors * Dust and polish furniture and fixtures * Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment * Assist with special events and projects as needed * Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required * Valid driver's license preferred * Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks * Familiarity with custodial equipment and supplies * Benefits: * Competitive salary: $31,304.00 or higher * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for professional development and advancement * A positive and supportive work environment
