Responsibilities:
- Community Outreach and Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and local leaders. Support the identification of local needs and trends that will inform how the organization best serves the South Florida community. Represent the organization at community and public engagements.
- Program/Event Planning and Execution: Design, plan, and execute impactful community programs and events that drive the organization’s mission. Manage volunteer/service projects involving staff, community members, corporate partners, and players.
- Budget Management: Manage budget and expense tracking for assigned programs and events. Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and enhance sponsored community assets.
- Reporting/Measurement: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned community initiatives. Ensure data is collected and reported in a timely manner. Produce program/event recaps.
- 3-5 years experience in program/event design, planning, and execution with adult and youth stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in written form and verbally in front of large groups.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor with fans, participants, community partners, and staff.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be a supportive and collaborative team member.
- Should possess out-of-the-box creative thinking skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
