We are seeking a passionate, mission-driven Program Manager to lead and grow our K-12 STEAM initiatives and teacher training programs. The Program Manager will play a critical role in designing, delivering, and scaling hands-on STEAM experiences for students and professional development opportunities for educators. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to equity, experienced in education, and skilled at fostering dynamic learning environments that integrate creativity, technology, and real-world problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of K-12 STEAM programs, including curriculum development, instructor management, partner engagement, and evaluation.
- Coordinate and deliver teacher professional development programs focused on computer science integration, emerging technologies, and project-based learning strategies.
- Collaborate with local schools, districts, and community partners to expand access to high-quality STEAM learning opportunities.
- Train and support instructional staff to deliver hands-on, engaging programming aligned with industry and academic standards.
- Track program metrics and outcomes; prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external funders.
- Contribute to program design innovations that prioritize maker education, STEM fluency, and 21st-century skills.
- Assist in grant writing and proposal development related to STEAM education and teacher training initiatives.
- Support Miami EdTech’s broader mission through cross-program collaboration, community engagement, and thought leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Fields of study may include Education, STEM disciplines, Curriculum and Instruction, or related areas.
- 3 years of experience in program management, education, nonprofit, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of K-12 education systems, particularly in STEAM, computer science, or maker-based learning.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering professional development to educators.
- Exceptional project management abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, STEM career pathways, and workforce development trends is a plus.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in the classroom or in direct student instruction.
- Background in robotics, coding, engineering design, or digital fabrication.
- Knowledge of industry certifications, CS standards, and/or project-based learning models.
