What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Michael Aram?
The Michael Aram Staff Accountant will be responsible for the Accounts Payable process, as well as general journal entries and some account reconciliations. The ideal candidates experience will include accounting for a retail/wholesale company, preferable a fashion company. Excel experience required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enter vendor invoices in the accounting system.
- Keep track of the vendor invoices files and payments electronically in our servers.
- Process international product vendor invoices.
- Assist in applying Accounts Receivables payments to close out invoices.
- Prepare payment check run ledgers.
- Prepare Bank reconciliations for retail stores.
- Prepare, report, and pay Sales taxes for different states.
- Prepare general journal entries.
- Assist in the monthly closing process and year end closing.
