Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Release of Information Specialist to join our Redding Office. This position will serve as the primary lead for several medical provider accounts and as back-up support for additional clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact and lead ROI Specialist for assigned client accounts
- Process incoming medical records requests with accuracy and in accordance with HIPAA, federal, and state laws
- Respond to status inquiries and communicate effectively with provider offices, patients, law firms, and insurance carriers
- Upload, track, and ensure secure delivery of records using our digital systems
- Coordinate with team members and management to ensure timely fulfillment of all requests
- Maintain accurate logs, activity reports, and documentation
- Support other accounts as needed, stepping in during absences or high-volume periods
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical records, ROI processing, or healthcare administration preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Clear and professional communication (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with computers, scanning technology, and digital upload systems
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
