Paralegal

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional, proactive paralegal to join our growing, fast-paced family law practice in our Orleans office.

The mission of the team at Michael I. Flores, P.C. is to lead our clients efficiently and constructively through family law disputes and to secure quality results tailored to each family’s unique needs. We do this by fostering a culture of hiring and developing team members who are humble, hungry, and smart and creating a closely knit and collaborative team dedicated to achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Litigation case management; preparing pleadings, motions, memoranda, subpoenas, and other discovery requests.
• Trial preparation.
• Serving as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering routine questions, and gathering necessary documentation.
• Attending trial with attorneys.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong skills in legal drafting and document preparation.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word and Excel.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-centered environment.
• Ability to think critically and analytically are also essential.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program, or a combination of education and/or relevant experience.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
