Our client, a prominent real estate developer based in Teaneck, NJ, is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist/Rent Administrator. This is a full time role, and the successful candidate will have prior property management or real estate Accounts Receivable experience.

Major real estate firm based in Teaneck. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers a chance to work in an Accounts Receivable centered role in the property management industry.
Description
This role will involve:
Payment Processing & Documentation
* Create and maintain records outlining procedures for the company's proprietary DOS-based property management software.
* Document processes for allocating receipts, incoming ACH payments, and housing assistance funds from various agencies.
* Manage and track banking portal functions, including online tenant payments and third-party lockbox deposits.
* Investigate and resolve ACH payment returns and non-sufficient funds (NSF) transactions.
Financial Reconciliation & Tenant Support
* Assist property managers with reviewing and reconciling tenant ledgers.
* Work directly with tenants to review ledger activity and address payment concerns.
* Generate financial reports and support compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
Collections & Compliance
* Monitor outstanding balances and coordinate collection efforts.
* Prepare and distribute rent statements and payment notices.
* Ensure compliance with rent regulations and fair housing laws.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in property management, rent collection, or accounting preferred.
* Knowledge of escrow accounts, financial transactions, and tenant payment processes.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is a plus.
