Description
- Develop comprehensive estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, across various contract types.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
- Conduct site visits, pre-bid conferences, and analyze project specifications to develop accurate cost projections.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work to identify the best value for each project.
- Prepare bid status reports, maintain historical cost data, and utilize estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide value engineering solutions and align estimates with project goals.
Profile
- A degree in building construction, engineering, or a related field, with 7-10 years of estimating experience in residential and commercial projects.
- Advanced skills in value engineering and a strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software, with experience in industry-standard estimating tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines effectively.
