Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Superintendent specializing in luxury residential projects local to Stamford, CT. As a superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of high-end custom homes from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Description

This Construction Superintendent should have experiene with:

• Project Oversight: Supervise and manage all phases of construction for luxury home projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction staff. Ensure that all workers follow safety regulations and project protocols.
• Quality Control: Ensure that the craftsmanship and finishes meet the highest standards of quality expected in luxury homes. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and local building codes.
• Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with architects, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of work completed, issues encountered, and other project-related activities. Provide regular reports to the project manager and senior leadership.

Profile

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent, with a focus on high-end residential or luxury home construction.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. Alternatively, equivalent experience in luxury home construction will be considered.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of luxury home building materials, high-end finishes, custom construction methods, and building and construction codes.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple details simultaneously while ensuring that each aspect of the project meets the highest standards of quality.
