Description
Controller Responsibilities:
- Coordinate month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, global consolidations, and financial reporting efforts.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries as needed.
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Collaborate on cost/inventory accounting functions as needed.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on expertise to support strategic decision-making.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- 6 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance, with a background in the manufacturing space
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate related information to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to tax is a plus

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
