Job Description
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including job cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
- Partner with project managers to track job costs, project budgets, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting, and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management efforts to support company growth.
- Manage banking relationships, financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and accounting software to drive efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the accounting team, fostering professional growth.
- 7 years of accounting experience, 3 years of leadership experience
- Prior experience in construction or project-based accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, WIP accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with project managers and executive leadership.
