Job Description
- Review owner contracts to ensure accurate billing based on contractual terms and prepare timely, accurate billings in accordance with those agreements.
- Analyze and track job-related costs, ensuring adherence to internal control procedures. Reconcile job costs with monthly billings and identify any unbilled or delayed charges.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth billing processes, ensuring all costs are captured and communicated effectively.
- Ensure prompt payment to subcontractors upon receipt of waivers and compile waiver packages for proper project documentation.
- Assist with job closeout by preparing accruals, reconciling project profits and losses, and ensuring accurate financials are recorded at project completion.
- Oversee subcontractor insurance compliance, ensuring its impact on billing and project schedules is appropriately managed.
- Monitor cash flow for each project and ensure financial management practices support project timelines and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 3 years of experience in project accounting, within the construction industry required
- Knowledge of GAAP, and other policies and regulations
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
